The Box

The Box“ If Christ Cytomegalovirus retinitis is anything, He must Metaxalone side effects be everything.”

–Charles Spurgeon

We all Carafes have a Nifedipine for preterm labor hypothetical box. We take all the individual components of our lives and put them in this box. I have my work compartment, at-home compartment, with-friends compartment, whatever-season-it-is compartment etc. The possibilities are endless. I determine how I dress, act, and sometimes even smell based on what compartment or compartments I am in at the moment. All of these components fill up the box of our lives. We can look in the box see all the different things that make us up and then we can hold up the box and say, “this is who I am” whether we like it or not. It doesn’t matter who you are or think you are; that box defines you, even if you make your self out to be someone different from compartment to compartment.

The above is true for anyone whether they are a believer in Christ or not. As a Christian we are taught that even though we have these different compartments of our lives, Christ should be a part of all of them. We should not leave Him out of some and keep Him in others even though we all try to do this at times(probably most of the time). So we should take all of our little compartments and add Christ to them. This view actually makes it easy for us to remove Him sometimes and keep Him others.

Then the thought came to me: Christ should not just be another compartment of my life, He should be the box that all the other compartments fit in. Christ is my box! And as such He defines every other thing inside it. If a thing exists inside the box that isn’t embodied in Christ, it should not be there! If I am a Christian, my box is Christ! When we accept Christ as our personal Lord and Savior He becomes what defines us. Can I hold up my box (myself) and say “this is who I am; Christ defines every component my life; I am His!”? This is indeed a high calling, one higher than we as humans can achieve. Thanks be to God that He sent His Son, Jesus, so that we might be able to achieve this calling in Him who was crucified and raised to redeem us to a new life defined by Him! Christ is our box! It is my prayer that I might be able to say: “Christ is not just another compartment of my life. He is the box that all the other compartments fit in.”
