One Year Anniversary

This weekend my wife and I celebrate one whole year of blissful marriage! I cannot believe it has already been a year and at the same time it feels like forever. Time is funny like that. The actual date is the 18th. Lacey is the biggest blessing God has put in my life. Before we got married many people told me that the first year of marriage is the hardest. If that is true then I can’t wait to see what the years to come bring. This year has been absolutely wonderful. If you are about to get married or have just taken the plunge, please take this as an encouragement that this is possible despite what the world tells us. This doesn’t mean that we haven’t had our ups and downs, it just means that working through these things has brought us closer to each other. What we have found is that if we put our focus on God and not ourselves we function very well. If we don’t do this we don’t function well. Pretty simple but not very easy all the time. If you are reading this, please be praying for us in this: that God would be the center of our marriage and not just when it is convenient. Pray that I would be a Godly leader and that she would be a Godly wife. We want others to see Christs love through our marriage and the only way to do this is to have Him be our focus in all things. ALL THINGS!
