No News and Other News

Well,  if you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been posting any news items on Friday’s like I wanted to.  Part of it is being busy and another part is that I am flat tired of the news these days.  It fatigues me.  So there won’t be any new this week either, at least no political or world news.

Since I won’t be providing those kind of news items for your reading enjoyment I thought I would instead provide some news of a more personal nature.  News about me.  This is, after all what this site is about, right?  So here you go.

As you know, my wife and I have been taking a class in church in which we are going through a book entitled Sacred Marriage. This class has been (and will be, I am sure) a huge blessing in our marriage.  There are couples who have been married longer than us in the class so we are getting much insight from them through discussion times.  We also hear from them how lucky we are to be taking this class as early in our marriage as we are.  God is working through the topics discussed to knit us closer spiritually.  It is a wonderful experience.  Praise the Lord!

In other news, I will be out of town next week.  I will be going along with a bunch of men from church to the San Juan River in New Mexico for the annual fly fishing trip.  I am very excited about this for many reasons.  I really feel that God has paved the way for me to attend this so I am looking forward to see how He will use it in my life.  He provided the time off of work to go, the money, and most recently the health.  This time of year is usually when I get sick.  Everyone at work has been sick already but the Lord has spared me from illness.  I am fully expecting Him to work in my life.  Please be praying that I will be receptive to what He has planned for me.
