New Office

Well, I am back from Canada and I guess I brought some cold with me. While I was gone it was around 80 degrees. This morning it was in the high 30′s. I did get a surprise when I got back to the office. Apparently they shuffled some people around while I was gone so I got to move to the “new” side of the building this morning. I have a new and improved cubicle! I even have a window! I took a couple pictures so that you could see the difference. Here they are.

As you can see I am moving up, or maybe just laterally since they are on the same floor. In any case I am happy for the new space.

On another note, a very exciting one at that, I talked to a good friend of mine today. We used to work together and we talked a lot about spiritual things. I invited him to bring his family to the church we are members of because he told me that they were looking for a church. I prayed for them by myself and together with the worship team at church that they would come and that the Lord would speak to them. Some time passed and I didn’t see him at work anymore because of a job change and I didn’t see him at church either. It is a good thing that the Lord works in His own time! I got a call from this guy at work today. He told me that they had visited South Side a few times now and that this last time that God had really used the message that Kevin brought in their lives. He told me that his wife was so excited that she wanted to go to the classes it takes to join the church! This is a big thing since she has just recently become interested in spiritual things. Another big thing for them was their daughter and the nursery situation. My friend told me that they just hadn’t felt comfortable with the nurseries at the other churches they had visited and that their daughter hadn’t either. My friend told me that when they dropped her off that she walked in and started playing with the other kids like she had been there for a long time. Praise the Lord! Please pray for them as they go through the process of joining our church that the Lord would use that time to work in their lives and bring them to Jesus in a way they haven’t experienced or known before.

Thank you Father for answering our prayers in Your timing. Please draw these people close to you as they seek to join Your church.

On yet another note, I purchased an Xbox 360 today. But after that last bit about what the Lord is doing this pales in comparison. In fact, I totally forgot that I had bought it after I talked to my friend until I got home. This just isn’t a big deal at all in comparison with the eternal situation of three of God’s children.
