How Should a Christian Respond?

The Eliot Amoxicillin for Zovirax coupon urinary tract infection Spitzer scandal Nitroglycerin chemical formula has recently Metformin 850mg - 60 pills caught my attention. Usually I despise news stories similar to this one because they typically don’t deserve to be in the news. Most of it is just sensationalism. This is an interesting case though. Mr. Spitzer was the governor of New York and before that he was a prosecutor. But before that, he was a husband, but that obviously wasn’t important to him. Oh, how even the mighty fall. So how should we, as Christians respond to stories like this? Our first reaction sometimes is to look down our nose at the person, and thank God that we aren’t like that. Shame on us! Are we not human as well? Are we not sinners? The Pharisees acted the same way. We are sinners saved by the grace of Jesus. That is the only thing that separates us from the people in these stories but it is nothing to boast in as we did not call ourselves out of our sinful humanity. We have no right to pass judgement on others because of their sin when we are in our own. We might be saved from the ultimate effect of sin but that does not mean we don’t suffer from it now. All these stories should do is remind us of the condition we were in before we were rescued and how there is absolutely nothing about us that makes us worth saving. It is only grace!
The question still remains then, how should we respond? It is times like this when we should be praying, not only for ourselves to stand firm, but also for the people in the stories and those around them. If they don’t know Christ, they need Him. Pray that God would pierce their hearts and that they would be humbled before His mighty hand. Pray that God would call them and that they would respond to that call. Pray for them.
There is something we can be reminded of in this as well. The truth will always find you out. No matter how secret you think your sin is, it will come out, if not in this world then before the throne of God. We will be laid bare either way. Do not think to hide behind a mask of righteousness.
All of us are susceptible to sin. We are not above falling in the same way. If we think we are, it is in these times that God will humble us. Be on the alert! Our adversary roams about looking for someone to devour! Gird yourself up each day knowing that we, as Christians, are not above falling into sin.
