Death’s Role in Life

Life and death.   Polar opposites.  I have Actos price long pondered Roc retin ox the role Zoloft and insomnia of death Viagra substitute in our everyday lives.  Think about it too much and you get depressed.  Think about it too little (or not at all) and you lose sight of the preciousness and brevity of life.  The only thing sure in life is death.  People sometimes add taxes to that list but there is plenty of proof that those can be dodged.  That leaves death and it cannot be dodged.

When a death occurs around us we are briefly reminded of our mortality.  Oh yeah, my time here really is limited.  It’s amazing how easy it is to forget.  Usually we are so caught up in life that we don’t think about death.  Why think about the event that will end the life we love? Most people just avoid thinking about it altogether.  But maybe we should.  Maybe we should use the inevitability of our deaths in a positive way.

I don’t mean that we should live our lives obsessing about our deaths.  It should not dominate our thoughts.  But it should always be in the back of our brains motivating us to do things that matter.  That is deaths purpose in our everyday lives.  It is a motivator; a reminder that life is not permanent so we should use it like the precious resource that it is.  It should motivate us to live life as if tomorrow might not exist.

Thinking like this should motivate the believer in Christ even more.  Our time on this earth is short.  Eternity is not.  Everyone faces the same certainty of death.  Those who trust in Christ will go to be with Him and our lives should be about helping others know Him.

So, ponder your death but instead of letting it depress you let it motivate you to do great things with the life you have been given.  Find something worth dying for and live for it.
