Howdy and welcome to my blog! My name is Brian Casey and I am glad you found your way here. If I don’t know you, it is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. If I do know you welcome back.
For some weird reason people (myself included) enjoy finding things out about other people and sharing a little bit about themselves and the blogging community has become a great way to do both. SuperBrian.net is an outlet for me to write about the world we live in from a spiritual perspective. It is my personal blog but I would love to see it develop into a community where people can discuss what it means to be a believer in Christ in the world we live in.
Take a minute and look around my site and you will find out a lot about me and hopefully something that will interest you as well. Up at the top you will see some categories you can delve through. You can look at the blog as a whole or any piece that interests you. Under that are some featured posts. Check them out! Things you can expect to read on my blog:
- Stuff about my life – I like to share what is going on in my life.
- Spiritual Stuff – My mind is set on Jesus so you will often find thoughts about my Savior and how He is relevant in this day we live in.
- Vibram FiveFingers – Never thought I would be a “shoe person” but I really love these things.
- Reviews – I like to watch movies and read books and then tell you what I think about them.
- Current Events/News and Politics – I like to keep up with what is going on around me. I also care very much about the political situation of our nation. This will come out as commentary or satire.
- Thoughts – I like to think. Then I like to tell you what I think.
The most important thing in my life is my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has redeemed me from the sin that kept me from God by dying in my place and rising from the dead in victory over my sin. Like any believer, I am not perfect so I end up riding the roller-coaster that is my spiritual life. I want people to see that here. I want you to see an imperfect man following a perfect Savior. This is the filter through which I see and experience everything. Read about how I came to know Christ here.
I am married to the most amazing and beautiful woman in the world. We attend South Side Baptist Church where we serve in the music ministry. I play the guitar and drums and my wife sings. We have no children yet but who knows when that might change. I work for Lauren Engineers and Constructors as a Project Accountant. I enjoy writing for my blog, reading a good book, working out, and playing a good board game with friends.
That’s a pretty good summary of me. There are things I left out, of course, but you will surely find more out about me as you read my blog.
