A Wonderful Problem

This will be our third Christmas as a married couple and the third Christmas that we have had decisions to make about where we will spend it.  Both of our parents live in town so it would seem like a no-brainer to just see both.  This is what we try to do every year.  No big deal, right?  The hard part is fitting everyone’s schedules together.  Sometimes we have to give up some of the things we want to do.

Another problem we faced was figuring out what gifts to get everyone.  We really like to put a lot of thought into the gifts we buy the people we love.  We want the gifts to mean something and not just be stuff.  This is a hard, time consuming thing to do sometimes.

The more we talked about our problems the more we realized how wonderful they actually were.  We have so much family that we love, want to see, and they want to see us, that it is hard to fit it all in.  This is a wonderful problem to have.  I am so thankful that we have families that love us and want to be with us.  Many people don’t have this.  The same can be said about the gift buying.  We have so many people that we want to give gifts to and can.  The Lord has provided us with an abundance to give from.  What wonderful problem to have!

So when you get stressed by something in your life, try to think about what it would be like without it.  Granted, not everything stressful in life is like this but there are probably many things that are and we don’t even think about them this way.  What are some of your wonderful problems?
