iPhone 2.0
Here it comes folks. Something I have been looking forward to for a while now. The new iPhone firmware that will allow people to download applications to their phone. The new iPhone 3G is also releasing today but I won’t be picking that up. I have decided to be happy with the iPhone I have for now. For those of you who know me, this is a big deal. I usually jump on new technology but I will be content with the one I have.
The new software was supposed to release today but I got my hands on it yesterday. Someone in the Mac community found it on Apples servers and shared a way to go ahead and update your phone. So I did. I have already found many useful applications to download. They make the iPhone even more valuable to me.
One of the applications available for download is called Remote. It allows you to control your iTunes library remotely where ever your WiFi network reaches. No more running to my computer to change the song. I can change it from anywhere in my house. I know this isn’t a huge deal but it is really cool none-the-less.
I won’t bore you further with more of my tech talk. Just know that I am excited about it. And if you are in the market for a new phone, the iPhone is worth taking a look at since it’s prices has been cut in half.
