As I have mentioned here before I have started working out again steadily.  I work out three times a week for about an hour.  I am the kind of person who likes to be efficient as possible and that applies to my money and time as well.  As such if I am paying for a gym membership and and spending the time to workout I think I might as well get as much for my money and time as possible.  This post is intended to be a list of the the things I want to do, both in activity and eating, to make sure I am getting the most out of my work out time.  On top of all that I want to be a healthy person.  Here they are:

  1. I will do some type of cardio work out on the days I don’t go to the gym.  Probably running.
  2. I will not eat fried foods or drink any soft drinks.
  3. I will eat no sweets at work.
  4. I will substitute fruits and vegetables for normal side items like chips.
  5. I will cut my portion size down when eating out.

Many of these things I already do but I have found putting them down in writing often helps me keep the promises I make to myself.  If you have any suggestions of things you do to keep yourself healthy let me know.
